On a Saturday morning in September 2019, Matthijs and I did something silly: we woke up with an intense desire for Belgian waffles. So we borrowed a car, drove for an hour and a half, and ended up in Antwerp. We wandered around town, ate meatballs at Matthijs' favourite restaurant, stumbled on a walking tour and into a festival, and nearly forgot to eat the waffles we came for.
